When we talk about prize possessions, most of us will mention our cars as one of them. A car serves you multiple purposes- it takes you to the workplaces and also social events/ parties where you can spend time with friends, relatives, and other acquaintances. A vehicle is no less than a useful asset for you and it is hard to match its utility. But just imagine the situation where it becomes an unusable piece of machine due to the presence of wrong fuel in the fuel tank.
I can share my personal story with you and you can learn something from it. Once I was on my way back to home after a visit at in-laws in Liverpool, with my wife and children. It was around 10 PM. After a two mile drive, I stopped for fuel refilling. My car was a 10-year old diesel Citroen ZX Estate. After refueling, we started again. After going for a couple of miles more, I realized that the car was jerking even when on the plain road. We went another two miles and finally I said to my wife that I am going to find out what was wrong with our beloved vehicle.
First thing I noticed that smoke was coming out of the car’s exhaust pipe. Without much delay I took it to a service station. After they checked the car, I was shocked to know that my fuel tank was almost filled with PETROL and not DIESEL. I could not understand how I could make such a mistake. My heart became heavy as it was necessary to do early checking and siphoning and which meant I could end up paying a big sum for the recovery of wrong fuel. Thankfully, the people at the service center drained it quickly in an efficient manner. They gave the car a fresh lease of life and my wallet was happy too.
